Hi there,

My Sony is with the latest updates and I recently reset (wiped) it. Every time when I activate the STAMINA Mode (not the Ultra STAMINA Mode) my phone refuses to connect to the internet - wifi or mobile data, it doesent matter. Immidiatly after I turn off the STAMINA Mode, the net works - wifi or mobile data.

I'm using Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

Please help.

Hi @MVladov,

I'm sorry to hear that.

As @uliwooly mentioned, is there any change if you reboot your phone to safe mode?

Is your phone updated with the latest available software? You can check this under Settings > About phone > Software update or by connecting your phone to a computer with Xperia Companion installed.

If your phone is updated, I'd recommend you try performing a network settings reset, found under Settings > Backup & reset > Network settings reset. You can find out more about what is reset on this link.

After the reset, go to Settings > More > Tap Internet settings to manually download your service providers APN-settings again and reboot your phone. Are you still experiencing that internet connections are disabled with STAMINA active?

Let me know how it goes!

Hi @differentl,

I'm very sorry to hear you feel that way. Is there anything in particular you are dissatisfied with? I'll be happy to forward any feedback you may have.

Hi again.
I also think that marshmallow is not the greatest think for my phone atleast.
So - I reset the network and testes in safe mode.
The problem changed, if I may say it this way.
Now in Stamina mode I have net. I can access websites via chrome.
Right now the sync is not OK. From time to time I recieve messeges vie viber, messenger or emal only after i manually refresh them.
For example - recieved 4 emails yesterday but the phone didnt notuce. This morning i refresh Gmail and there they are.
I've seen the sync options and they a OK. Most of the time when i try to sync now I frequently recieve messege the there is a promblem with the sync right now.

Hi there,

Recently after the latest updated my phone has 2 bugs:
1. No sync while in Stamina mode (net problems)
2. While in a call, the other party hears me very very quietly

Stil no seolution on the first problem. I've tried the network reset... it didn't work.

About the second problem with the microphone. I thaught that it was a silicon case problem - it wasn't. If someone has the same problem just disable the "Microphone noise suppression" in "Call" settings. Looks like after the updates it doesn't recognise what is a "voice" sound and what is a "background" sound.

Firstly I've tried a solution ftom a another topic. It was to disable the "Ok Google" detection "from any screen". It was already disabled when I've wanted to do it.

SONY - please fix this bug. I liked this feature about the background noise. It was very useful.

Hope I was helpful for someone.

Sorry for my late reply, I've been out of office for a few days.

As far as I know the new STAMINA mode offers no option to allow app-exceptions, meaning that background data will be will be restricted during the entire time STAMINA is active in your phone. The new STAMINA mode will also restrict background data regardless if the display is active or not so synchronizing (for example) e-mail may be affected. This isn't a bug but rather how the STAMINA mode now works. If you have any feedback regarding this I'd be happy to forward it.

Concerning that the other party in calls is having trouble hearing you, if this was resolved by disabling the setting "Microphone noise suppression" it sounds like there is something wrong with the second microphone in your phone. To have this sorted out I'd recommend you have your phone sent in to be examined by an authorized service centre, for information on how to do so I'd advise you contact your Local support.

Keep me posted!
