hello brapi,

i upgraded my Xperia P to ICS manually using uliwooly's instructions.

according to uliwooly, it is equivalent to upgrading to PCC or SUS, since it uses Stock ROM.

But if you can wait yor the new Xperia namely; GX and SX go for it.

I think you're missing out the point uli, what I'm trying to say is that even though ICS is out on the xperia S which has similar specs to SL, the difference is that S is GB out of the box, while SL is ICS out of the box. Again, being that said out of the box OS means that the phone is really optimized for that specific OS. Xperia S is optimized for GB. yeah it can run ICS but when you visit the thread of xperia S, many persons are complaiing about the faulty update. which is similar to 2011 devices complaining about ICS.

Sure thing XS has better specs on 2011 range but the situation is similar, many complaints arose when they updated. Maybe Sony released XSL due to the problems of XS on ICS platform. that's why they're going to release it out of the box so that it will run smoothly just like XS when it launched on GB.

for me,

update for XS and XSL will be just the same, they will upgrade XS until it had a stable update, then they will put it on XSL since both XS and XSL have the same specs. or they will fix the camera problem.

"The new version if ICS for the Xperia P will be released in the Philippines within the next two weeks. The ICS update for Xperia U, Xperia sola and Xperia go will be out by end by the end of September."
