What's the difference between a rooted xp and non-rooted xp?

im curious.
i'd like to learn about rooting and try it in my xp.
can anyone give me a link on how to root my xp?
by the way, im on JellyBean 4.1.2 using the new update : 6.2.A.1.100

Rooting gives u access to the system files of ur device otherwise unaccessable, Helps u installl various mods ,install custom roms etc

Unlocking bootloader - helps u flash custom kernels, Overclock & Underclock ur procesor etc(BUT IT VOIDS UR WARRANTY)

U can root ur device and still have ur bootloader locked.

i'd like to have a lag less and free from bugs xperia p. like your's from your thread. so i'd like to try rooting. :smileygrin:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335992 go here and root ur device .. doomlord has finally come up with a easy method to root xperia p .. the only thing is v must be on the latest firmware .100:smileysilly: .. i have done it .. if u root then wat ll be ur next step???:smileysilly: bcoz i did rooting and jus waiting and collecting the boaltwares(unnecessary files) to remove so the device becomes fast and faster ..

that's way too easy. haha. btw, before i root my device? do i have to backup first? if yes, how? LOL.
boaltwares? may i know each unnecessary apps? here in my xp? and lastly, adb drivers? do i have that in my device? and what is that? very noob me.

no need to backup anything ... am searching for those boaltwares only when i found it ill share it with u ...:smileycool: if ur device gets connected with pc then it should have those drivers to automatically install i guess ..i didnt do anything special to install those drivers ..

UPDATE : im done with the procedure. my device reboots and added an app called SuperSU, am i now rooted?

Will this rooting voids warranty of the device??? Its better to root after getting information about unrooting also....
