New software update, same build number?

Hi everyone. I have a query.

So today like about 2 hours ago, my phone notified me of an update. I looked at it, it should version 15.1.C.2.8. I got confused. Because my phone already has 15.1.C.2.8! I took a screenshot before doing the update like below:

Since the notification won't go away on my phone, I decided to attempt it. It updated well in 30 mins, and then got to Android is upgrading. Surprisingly, there were only 4 apps to optimise. When I got back in, I went back to check the version numbers.

It's still the same!

I have no idea what was changed, but the update notification was gone, even after refreshing Update Centre. The only difference I saw was the News and Weather app removed.

Is it a super minor bug fix or something else?

Cuz I checked in the certification thingy website and an update 15.1.C.2.9 was certified. Could it be that?

Please answer ASAP. Currently my phone is running fine with no issues.

I also found the Certificates Information removed from Legal Information.

Off the top of my head all i can say is perhaps your phone did not get updated properly the last time and hence update notification for same firmware build update. As per the information you have shared, you already updated the phone when prompted to. Did you spotted some changes ?

It was a removal update. The News and Weather app and the Certificate Information was removed.
