New firmware (10.1.1.A.1.253)

Hi Sony Team,

Just updated with the latet firmware. Noticed that these are the changes in this new firmware.

a) white balance

b) soft keys and nav bar changed to black

c) an option to disable the notification light

d) updating NFC

But beside these new updates. What are the other update in this firmware and how to get best picture with the white balance control under Display setting.

By the way, I have a problem with the soft keys and nar bar still appearing at the Lock Screen. Eventhough I have tried to fix this problem with PC companion but the problem still coming back after few days. Will you guys be solving this problem any soonest?

First two times was unable to update, SUS kept saying "update unsuccessfull". I put m phone on charge for 20 mins and the upated. It worked.

Before doing the original update uing Sony PC, I charged my phone to 100% and after update 95% of battery was left. But after the screen froze, and using SUS, My phone lost all the charge (surprising)..After successful update using SUS and 20 mins of charge, my phone shows 57% charge remaining.. Thats very much surprising...

Gonna test the phone to see if I encounter any issues or new issues.. Will keep you posted!

i had the same problem as yours. i can't even get into the main screen after new update.

(Now my phone won’t even start (Do get the Sony and Xperia logo) followed by Colorful wave twice, THIRD TIME IT COMES ON SCREEN FREEZES, phone turns off automatically and the same thing over and over...)

PS my ZL can't even get into the main screen after new update...

Just connect your phone to charger and charge. Screen with turn on with sony logo and led notification light would be red; then your phone will again turn off. This will keep happening, don't worry about it. Leave it connected and charge for 20-30 mins. Then use SUS to update (don't use Sony PC).

Follow the instructions on SUS and complete The update process.

Note: remove sd card and SIM from phone prior to updating. SUS would factory reset your phone though 😞

Let me know if it worked. It worked from me and so far no issues.

Did not encounter any issues with note widget so far but slightest appearance, I will keep you posted. After the update, phone works like butter...smooth.

I am also from Denmark, but my Xperia Z cannot see the update yet. Where did you buy yours? Have you experienced any problems after the update? There has been several reports in this forum that peoples' phone die after the update.

I bought it in Fona, unbranded.

pluged it into the pc and PCC poped up with the message saying there was an update
