Have been haviing trouble with camera software on my Z5 premium. So in Apps >camera, I deleted the most recent software update thinking I would simply reinstall it.
Can you tell me how to do this, thanks.
Hi mrh2go1,
Welcome to the community,
That is rather odd, as the Camera application cannot be removed and the updates cannot be removed either, the only option you should have with Camera, is Disable. Can you supply a screenshot of what the current app states?
You can easily see what Im talking about. My directions were not clear enough. Go to Apps > slide the top option bar to ALL > click on camera app. You can now see the option to delete previous update or roll back to previous update. it does not show in any of the other slider option, removed it here. Since I have done this, this option has also been removed on my camera.
I now have a slimmed down version of the camera app that is terrible. I need to reload / reinstall the real app and need guidance to do this. I use camera everyday so it is important to me.
Uliwooly, I have no knowledge of rooting and unlocking bootloader. Out of my scope. Please help with a solutiotn that can work for me. Thanks.

Have you unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone?

I see, you don't need to reinstall the camera but the update.
Open What's new > updates > check if the update its available.
There is nothing in Whats New yet. Do you think it will show up there?
Can I download and install the apk shown below?? If yes, detail how. Thanks.

You have two options, either wait or sideload the app, as long as you don't have to unlock the bootloader to root the phone it should be ok but if I were you, I would just wait.
