Hi,
I'm a new user of Xperia Mini and Android phones.
It seem that I am missing (?) a lot of memory.
My Xperia Mini can only hold 65 or 70 photos.
The 'Storage' function on the phone shows that I have very little memory on the SD card, which doesn't make sense.
1.85 GB is shown as the Total Space
Usage: 281 MB for Apps+ 76.54 MB for Pictures, videos+ 65.58 MB for Audio (=423MB)
It seems I should have about 1.5GB of available space, but it shows only:
17.31 MB Available
It seems that I should have a huge amount of storage space available to hold more photos. What is wrong here and what can I do?
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
mount your phone to a computer > and check the folders, while your phone its mounted to a PC empty your recycle bin (on your PC)
perhaps you have movies or videos or games taking up all the space
Hi, and thanks for responding.
Yes, I've done that, but basically I cannot find anything taking up the memory space. (regarding the recycle bin, I only see a '.Trashes' folder, which is empty).
I am a very basic user. I have not downloaded any games or videos, and only 2 apps (wechat and OI file manager so I could try to figure out the problem).
I just use the phone for talking, texting and photos, and want to be able to hold more photos on the phone.
So I'm clueless as to the problem.
you could reformat the SD card and try again
I'll try it.... but can you tell me how that is done?
When connected to the computer (connected in mass storage mode) you normally just right-click on the memory card and choose format/reformat.
