Hi,from last one month iam dealing with problem as my calling MIC is not working completely.It was just two months that i purchased it.I restarted it many times,it works for 7to8hours and the problem again arises.I took it to sony care but i didnot got the solution for it.Can any one help me to overcome this one?
sounds like an app you have installed is interfering with normal function of the phone, I suggest you uninstall all apps and see if the problem persists or do an update repair which has the same effect, doesn't sound like a hardware fault as turning off and on would not fix it as you describe

Software problem as mentioned above, try unmarking noise supression under call settings
Hi GeoffH! I'm having the same issue on xperia z (C6602, 4.2.1). I did the repaiir through pc companion it did not work. Then i washed the earpiece area and tapped that place bit harder on my hand couple of times and it worked. But now after few days i'm having the same problem
Any suggestions? I have no clue which app is interfering either coz after the pc repair i had to install the apps again.
its a common issue...think it is some sort of bug in the OS.
you can do onething
" when mic stops working during the call, just select the loud speaker for 2 sec and turn back to earpiece...then the prob will be solved "
I got this problem 2 times. My phone is Xperia ZL and just 2 months old.
The first time the problem got resolved automatically, i don't know how.
Second time, the problem was resolved after I did the following :
1. Settings->Sound->Check/Uncheck XLOUD
2. Settings->Call settings->Check Microphone Noise Suppression
Hope this works if the problem occurs again.
Once, I also had this sort of problem in my Xperia Z. Hopefully I found the solution to it.
This problem is due to some applications running in your phone. Try to uninstall the skype application and restart your phone. Now your calling mic will work successfully. .:smileyhappy:
