My Xperia x10 mini pro can't read memory stick

Hi, i have a problem with my phone. Last day i connect my phone with the cord then sunddenly my phone hang up and turn off automatically.

After that i turn on my phone again, and their a notification said " Prepering Memory Card " , " Checking for errors ".

I waited almost 24hrs now but still i cant find my music list and the photo on my Memory Card, i also tried to insert my Memory Stick to one of my friends phone and its working. I don't now what the problem with my phone can you help me with this?

Try using other memory card in your mobile

If i change memory card, does the system will be affected or need to update my android again?

and last and final question, what Memory Card size fits my device?

No you don't need to update or do anything..

Just put any MICRO SD card in your mobile and see if it detects

All micro SD card are of same size

Its still error, and its been 24hrs now.

but im still using my old Memory Card becuase i still don't have a new Memory Card.

It seems that the problem is with the software.... and not the card,...

It would be better if you test it with other memory card to rule out the problem...

But if you can't get hold of one then repair your software

Backup everything as it will erase all data on phone (sms, contacts,apps)

I tried it with my sisters memory card and its working. so the problem is with memory card?

and what Memory Size fits my phone?

Yes then the problem is with your card ...

You need to format your SD card..

Transfer important stuff from memory card to PC and then format your sd card from phone and then format your sd card from phone and see if it works..

May i know what you mean by size ?
