My Xperia ray phone is getting switched off automotically after some idle time

My Xperia ray phone is getting switched off automotically after some idle time.

I have not updated anything recently. Installed Lync 2013 app recently but uninstalled it within 2 days.

I do not find any other reason for my phone to perform like this Slightly_frowning_Face

Service centre suggested to rollback to earlier android version.

My current version: 4.0.4; Build - 4.1.B.0.587; Kernel - 2.6.32.9-perf

If I rollback to earlier android version will it work? If Yes please share the procedure to follow.

Thanks in advance.

You can always boot the phone in safe mode to exclude that there are no other third party application that is causing the problem:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008

If you experience the same problem in safe mode, I suggest that you perform a software repair via SUS:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

To get your phone downgraded to an earlier Android-version, you should hand the device to a service center. You can contact your local support team to get information about nearest service center:

Same for me.

Happens when screen should turn off.

Sometimes if battery is over 80% It doesn't turn off. It also does not when charging.

Now I see LED keeps blinking but not the screen.

I think it is into next phase, someone in the forum called this problem as "THE BLACK DEATH"

Service center had also suggested to change the board which might cost close to getting a new phone.

Looks like we do not have any other option than saying GoodBye to SONY SMARTPHONE.

Been a SONY fan since my 1st phone W700i but with this kinda service they did not give us any other choice.. Slightly_frowning_Face
