My worst experience with SONY service.

The most third class service and there fundas, no value for customer , that for sure.

I bought a mobile from mobile world , in AUG 2013 , last month I just have tried to install a application in my device , then device just showed , "no sufficent memory " , I have uninstall few applications to free the memory , then forcefiully stop few process and restarted the device . since then it is shown like SONY only ,

As mobile per mobile worl I have submitted the phone to their desk ( because I had a extended warrenty ) , they said that My IMEI number is invalid ( Owaoo Just amazingly mu IMEI number getting changed )

Here is the Number :

After that I have decided to go into SONY service center ,

They said that , your device is rooted ( What is rooted dear no idea ) your mother board need to be changed , need atleast 10000 rs ...

Solid storke of amazing sony ,

Good --- just looting the money of the customer in that way ....

Your imei will be erased later.

I think this is a case of imei-changed phone. You could blame it to Sony if you buy it directly from them but here you stated that you bought it from a dealer(not sure whether its reputable or not),so the risk of having maybe pirated phone is there.

You could ask either one of the Xperia Staffs here to check your imei whether its original or not.

But based on your saying that your phone is rooted and imei changed.Looks like someone sold a refurbished one?

You need to contact Sony Xperia Support

@Phy ,Tanny already went to a Sony Center already so there's already an explaination there.

The imei needs to be checked by Sony Xperia Staffs, like @Rickard

I can see that. However, Xperia Support also has the ability to check the IMEI number as well.

Hi,

Sony Service center did not denying the service on the basis of IMEI number , they had confirmed that it is OK, But they saib that , My device is rooted ... hence they will not provide any support .... But I did not undersand the root theory , because I did not tried anything on the phone .... not even update my software after since ,  I have the phone ....

Did you buy the phone througn online like Amazon or mobile shops or second hand shops or you buy it directly from Sony Center?

Reflashing the latest firmware ftf for your phone through flashtool would remove root but as for imei I'm not sure. Maybe the original got blacklisted as stolen (I'm not too sure about that but it may be the case if the dealer was dodgy and looking to offload stolen goods for profit)

As for the storage issue I had the same on my xperia t and I rooted and repartioned the internal storage. 2gb for apps and 11gb + for the internal sd was ridiculous to me as I've got a 16gb memory card and prefer using that for my media. Maybe a Google search will help, I don't have this phone myself so am not sure about the device partion details

Hello Friend,

I have tried the flashtool , But got error : like usd not connected in Debbuger mode ( like this ) .

Then I found solution for that in google ,

But unfortunately this phone is hanged during startup onle shows sony ( Hence unable to perform the task ).
