My Sony Z1 touch screen stopped working

My touch screen of my Sony z1 isn't working any more could anyone please help me with this or does anyone now what the problem might be?

Hi, this is a known problem to z1 owners and I'm having the same problem too. kindly search the thread xperia z1 touchscreen problems and sony hasn't replied yet whether this is a hardware or software issue.

Try updating it first with Sony update Service and see if it will work. Try also touching the aluminum frame while navigating on the screen as this has been a temporary remedy to us who are experiencing this inconvenience

my phone is already up-to-date and touching the aluminum frame doesnt seem to work either, do jou think it would help if i would root the phone or should i ask sony about the warranty?

do you have any other Apps installed? as apps also may cause problems.

Shoukl the problem persists again after a clean update then I suggest to take your phone to the store and ask for the warranty. Rooting is another option (if this is a software related. However, I think it's more of a hardware)

A new motherboard will cost you almost the same as a new phone as its not just the motherboard but CPU, RAM, etc integrated, contact a Sony Repair Center
