Hi, everyone.
I bought my Xperia Z2 in November last year. Last week, my headphone jack stopped working. I checked the jack and it was clear; I checked the headphones on my laptop and they worked. No water has got into the handset. I restored the factory version of Smart Connect and reinstalled Smart Connect: this didn't work. I downloaded an app that basically overrides the phone and forces it to use the headphones; this obviously fixed the problem.
I then uninstalled the third-party app, reinstalled Smart Connect and my headphone jack began working again. It has now stopped working once again. It doesn't detect my headphones and I've reinstalled both Smart Connect and my phone's software. No joy.
Does anyone have a solution that might work? I'm not downloading the third-party app again because I really resent having to use something like that when my phone is barely one-year-old.
There's one last thing you can try, repairing the phone with PCC
software repair using PC Companion
Bridge (for Mac)

Failing the last step, you can always get the device checked out by a service agent, as this may be hardware based to. Use my signature below to find contact details

I'd already done the software repair, but I've done it again this evening on your advice. The headphone jack still isn't working.
How long does a repair/check-up take? This forum has horror stories about phones being held for over a month with poor communication from Sony Repair. I use my phone for work; how long would it be away?
Can anyone advise roughly how long I would be without my phone if I sent it for repair? I'm in London, England.
