Hi @Ron25, I am sorry to hear that. Slightly_frowning_Face

Have you first tried to force a shut down of the device and then tried starting it? To do so, press and hold the power and volume up buttons simultaneously until the device vibrates 3 times - then try booting again. If it still does not power on, have you tried charging it for at least 2 hours and removed the SIM and SD cards before trying powering on again?

So it is purchased in Singapore, but you're not there now? My recommendation is to get in touch with your Local support to see what your repair options are. Since service routines, local consumer laws and warranty terms depend on market they are best fit to assist you with this local case.

i went already to the local xperia support you have here in the philippines that's the first thing i've done so that i will know if sony can do something about it. unfortunately they cannot repair my sony xperia m5 since they only realease dual sim here in the philippines. my sony xperia m5 is  single nano sim. that's why they cannot repair my sony m5. im very disappointed. i just bought it and it only last for six month now i cannot use it. now what do you want me to do just throw my sony xperia m5 and put my money into waste. first 3 months i have a problem already with the battery now after 3 months, i cannot use it anymore. totally shutdown. hope could do something about this.

Since this is a Global user based forum I can't assist you much further with a local case such as this. Have you tried contacting our Singaporean support team to see if there's a possibility in having it sent and repaired there?

no i didn't call your singapore sony support team. since it is a sony product and it is your unit that have the problem so it means that you will extend your support to your client. you've realease a product that is not properly check regarding the motherboard and the battery. now you give your client the problem.

so now, the question is how can you assist me regarding my problem or can even sony cannot do something with the problem or just a waste of money buying your product. you've been realeasing your product is the best no problem but now totally shutdown. good outside but inside full of deffects.

Really sorry to hear that, but as I mentioned before this is a global user based forum and therefore I am not able to assist you with a local case such as this. I am not aware of the local service routines, consumer laws, warranty terms and other local dependant information for your location which is why it's not possible for me to assist you further.

My recommendation is that you get in touch with the Singaporean team if your Local support was not able to assist you in having it serviced in your country. Slightly_frowning_Face

as you know all sony products they give only 3 months warranty and the problem is now mine because it's already 4 months since they change the battery of the unit it is not in warranty anymore. what i just want to say is that why release a unit that you haven't check the durability of the battery and motherboard. the money that bought that unit is a hard earned money. it takes me to long just to buy this unit and then after how many months i cannot use it anymore. where is the compassion with that,  as long as you have sales never mind the quality. still disappointed and hope next time you release a product make sure you check first its quality from inside to outside. now, what can i do? this is a lesson for me never buy sony products anymore.
