My contacts have not been restored following restore.

Due to glitches with the 5.1.1, I performed a back up, repair and restore as recommended in these forums. However my contacts seem to have been wiped out and it doesn't give me the option to import contacts stored on my Google account. All in all the 5.1.1 has been the upgrade fro **bleep**.

Perhaps they have been restored and you need to check the filters under contacts.

Also,if you have a dbk file,see this on how to extract contacts:

Google contacts doesn't need to be backed up/restored, they are synced automatically when you sign in with this Google account in your phone on initial setup. Make sure that:

1) You are signed in with the same google account

2) Sync is on (Settings -> Accounts -> tap on triple dots icon in the corner -> Check "Auto-sync data")

3) Filter is set correctly to show all Google contacs (As @alexdon guided in the previous post)

Thanks for your help guys, but none of the solutions seem to work. Anroid contacts is not pulling in my google contacts (it managed my facebook ones) and the restoreDate.tar file didn't generate when I executed the jar file.
