Hi all.
I plugged in my mw600 last night, as usual, even though the battery was 3/4 charged, then, this morning, it won't restart. When plugged in, the battery shows fiully charged, but, when I unplug it, nothing happens. I have tried pressing and holding the start button - no joy. As this is the 2nd one of these I have had in the past 6 months, I am, understandably a bit peeved, to say the least.
Any ideas?
Hi,
Please use the link below to access the User Guide of your accessory to perform a reset:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/775/277/1269520987/MW600__UG_EN_1236-6504_1.pdf (Page 15)
If the issue is not resolved after the reset, please contact your local Sony Ericsson store to look into your options.
Sorry, but that is no good. The headset has no life in it at all, unless plugged into the charger, when the fully-charged battery icon appears. As soon as it is disconnected, there is no life at all, no matter how long I hold down the on/off button. As I said, this is the 2nd time this has happened one of these headsets in the space of 9 months - the first one was replaced; this one, however, won't be, as the stupid clip that for holding it wherever it is to be held exploded the first week I had it. This is now held in place by a small elastic band., which I can live with. Many thanks for attempting to help, though - I'll contact the local store, just in case they can offer any advice, though this will be doubtful, since the employees are surly, bored student-types.......
Sorry to hear that Ken, however, I am sure that a solution will be found once you contact the local Sony Ericsson team.
I had the same problem. Saw it a few places online and figured out a fix that seemed to work for me.
If anyone else tries this, please not if it worked for you or not.
The problem is that although the unit is charged, the power button seems to do nothing. The reset procedure that Sony recommends is not possible as the device never powers on.
Although the device will not power on normally, plugging it in DOES light up the screen and show the charge status.
What I did was this:
Hope this helps someone!
That sounds like it may be worth trying! Many thanks!
Right. This didn't work for the last one of these, so i foolishly bought another one. Guess what? Same thing again, after only a few weeks ownership. This reinforces my already low opinion of all SE products threse days - they are rubbish. I thought that the Japanese had a reputation for good workmanship and honourable behaviour? Seems not. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING MADE BY THIS COMPANY AGAIN - NOTHING, ZILCH, ZERO, and I would advise anyone who asks me to follow that advice.
SE - your produts ahould be banned.
After one day of use this device stop working. I can't make it start. It's complety dead.
Also, when I connect it to charger the screen remains completely black. The propoused solution didn't work
Completely disappointed with SONY!
I bought this item in London, and now I'm 8000 milles away to reclaim warranty!
Good work...this solution worked for me..thanks for posting...
