MW1 streaming problem - stutter

I bought my MW1 just the other day and been trying different ways to come up with a solution...

Problem; while streaming music from the phone (normal player or Spotify) the music gets chopped up in tiny tiny pieces (stutter) - last for a few seconds up till 20sek(?)... from time to time this repeats it self every 30 sek to 1 minute ((in which cases I freak out and turn it off or start listening to music I put on the memorycard)), but in periods it works ok for a longer time.

Other times the music just stop! ....and then continue again after a short period, and it has also disconnected with no reason.

I tried turn off/on + rebooting my phone, factory reset and so on....

It's reeeealy frustrating... been using MW600 before without issues.

Model: Smart Bluetooth Haedset MW1

Firmware: 0.1.E.1.4

Paired with: Samsung Galaxy Note II

It's the 0.1.E.1.4 FW Version. I have the same issues since upgrading to that version, and other customers report this problem with that FW Version on google store.

I use the headset with a sony phone and sony walkman software.Unpairing an re-paring solves the issue for a while sometimes. But it comes back.

I expect Sony to release a working firmware or a downgrade instruction version very soon, otherwise I have to return the headset to the dealyer for refund.

Sony, please give an official statement or do something to fix the problems with recent FW very soon. This is not acceptable.

I got the same problem since the last firmware-upgrade (0.1.E.1.4)

I hope they'll fix this very soon, I can't barely listen to music anymore. It's very annoying!

Is it possible to downgrade the FW?

Soo.... it's not only me who have an issue.

I really hope for a quick answer, else I also have to return it to get a refund...

If you read in play-store there is plenty comments about this issue since the last fw-update, so we're not alone..

Ok, I just did a downgrade.

I made a factory Reset on the headset, downloaded "Update Services" and the program told me there was an update available, after the update was complete i'm back on 0.1.D.0.6!

IT WORKED!! Slightly_smiling_Face

Now it's just testing and see if possibly ok.

"Update Services" is downloadable here: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/

It was possible to do a "downgrade" by performing following steps.

  • do a Factory reset on your MW1
  • download "Update services" to your computer link here
  • follow the instructions from "Update services"
  • it will tell you it has a new update - fw ver. 0.1.D.0.6
  • (it will later ask you to update to 0.1.E.1.4 - DON'T!!)

After this the music streaming seams to work OK, although... I can't access the "notification" except from when a new notification pops in through the "round" button (not in the menu), and it looks like the 25% of the battery disappears in a heartbeat after taken off the charger.

PLEASE Sony - review your update and fix the bugs.
