Move apps to SD?

Hi, can anyone tell me how to download apps or music to my sd card. Everything automatically downloads to phone memory which is now full and I cant update the apps. I've moved what it will let me to the sd card but the majority is still on the phone memory. Unfortunately I'm not a whizz with tech stuff  and this is my 1st smart phone. thanks

Apps cannot be moved on the sd,only some allow their storage to be set on the sd.You have to delete files from phone memory to free up space.
