Gmail smart extension won't work with 4.3 Android?

I just upgraded from 4.1.2 to 4.3 and now I can't get the GMail Smart Extension to work.  Simply sends error reports to Google. What is doubly frustrating is that it worked great with 4.1.2 but I couldn't get WatchIt to work... so I upgdraded.  Now no Gmail... and since Sony closed the stock email notification to Sony phones (and to get around this, I had my Comcast email forwarded to Gmail), at this point I either need to go back to 4.1.2 or stop looking at email.

Anyone out there running the Gmail, the Gmail extension, and 4.3?  Any advice or help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the reply.  I did try that a few times.  When you install it tels you you need to add your Gmail account to phone.  When you use Smart Connect, and select Gmail, it has a check box tht you check for your gmail account.

Then, when you go to the watch and touch the Gmail icon, it gives you an error message that says: "Unfortunally GMail - Smart Extras tm has stopped.  You can "Report" it (sends a message to Google), or you can click OK.  The same error message then reappears.  You then need to uninstall the app again.

Do you have it running on a 4.3 phone?  Anyone?  Any other suggestions?  Thanks again!

I have 4.3 and it works with my SW2, how about if you reinstall the latest update on your SW2 with SUS?

Thanks again... just ran SUS on my laptop and then connected my SW2.  It said it needed an update, and so I ran the update.  Seems to have stayed at the same SW level (10:B 3, 46/1.0.A.3.8) and the HW(419(STM232FU2/3 REV 1003 after the update.

Then tried to install the Gmail smart extension... same results, same error message.

Any other suggestions?  Thanks!

I don't think its the phone but you could do the same with your phone and check again

Try unistalling and reinstalling again on phone?  Tred that, and again, it gives the same error message: Unfortunately, Gmail - Smart Extras tm has stopped working.  It recognizes whether the phone has the Gmail connected to the extension since it prompts you to connect but when you go in the app under SmartWatch 2 and click your gmail it then immediately gives the error message on the phone and of course, doesn't show any gmail messages on the SW2.  

Very fustrating... having every avenue of getting emails on my 4.3 phone thwarted by the SW2, and thus having to go back to an older version of Android.
