cannot able to connect with mobile data. Initially it was working ffine but after updation of software not worrking at all. Please help me to connect internet using mobile data
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
First of all make sure that mobile data traffic is enabled under settings > more > mobile network.
Also make sure that the network mode is set to WCDMA/GSM.
You can also try to download new Internet settings for your phone if you go to settings > Xperia > Internet settings. Check the download/install procedure in the notification field, when it is done, you may have to restart your phone.
me to facing a problem on mobile data connection. my network settings is not getting saved...please give me a solution
Hello,
I have owned an Xperia L C2104 since last April 14, and I have been having this exact same problem since last Monday (May 12). The phone detects the data connection (as indicated by the "3G" or "H" logo over the signal bars), but most applications appear to be unable to use it. None of my Google-related apps work anymore. However, other apps appear to work.
I have been discussing the issue with my carrier (T-Mobile), and they keep escalating my problem; I haven't reached the top of their pyramid, but none of their troubleshooting (e.g., remotely resetting the phone, reinstating their settings) has worked so far.
Furthermore, I have returned the phone, got a new one (same model) - which shows *exactly* the same problem! This would make hardware failure a very unlikely cause. I have tried the factory data reset several times on both phones, with no luck.
The fact that some apps *do* work seems to point in the direction of some software problem. Did Sony roll out some update around May 12 that somehow broke the ability of some applications to access the data connection (at least on T-Mobile)?
Please advise,
thanks!
In that case I would suggest that your first of all check that no Proxy server within your APN settings may be the issue. You can check this by going to Settings > More (Wireless & networks) > Mobile networks > APN or Access Point Names > Your Internet APN. Check if any details are set for Proxy and Proxy port. If yes you can try to delete them (temporarily) and save the APN.
Restart your phone. If you still experience the same behavior I would suggest that you try with a new or another SIM card in your device.
