Missing browser and bookmarks

Hi,

Hoping for some help. My partner updated her phone last night, to I believe 4.3

This has had the result of deleting the native internet browser (The blue globe icon). I assume this has been replaced with Chrome. Which is fine, but all the bookmarks are missing and haven't been imported.

I took a back up before this happened and I've tried restoring the Bookmarks, it said it was successful, but there is no sign of them.

How can I restore or import the bookmarks? I've got PC Companion 2.1 on my Win 7 machine. Can anything be done?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

You could try to download a 3rd party browser like Opera from Google Play. Then try to restore the back up using PC Companion to see if Opera is able to restore the bookmarks.
