Messaging APP is very slow

"Messaging" app in my Z3 is very slow.. Especially on deleting single or multiple message by marking.

The problem exists even after so many OS updates :smileyangry::smileyangry:

This will happen if you have way too many messages. But you can try clearing messaging app cache (this will not delete any messages):

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Clear cache and restart your phone.

Clearing cache didn't solve the problem.. Deleting messages still take lot of time, in few cases it takes forever and app stops responding..

Then I'd go for doing a backup of all messages using PC Companion or installed "Backup & restore" app, then deleting all messages. Better to perform a software repair using PC Companion or factory reset after backup.

I'm sorry to hear that.

As @Quester says, if you have a very large number of stored messages in the Messaging application you may experience that the application becomes slow. Work is ongoing to solve this, and there will be improvements in future software updates.
