message notification not working

Hi,

In my 6 months old sony xperia ion message notification is not working . No sound is coming while receiving neww messages even the pluse light also not blinking. Some days back i uninstalled some applications from my mobile due to battery back up problem . I dont know whether i uninstalled any apps releated to message app.

i used to receive important messages if the problem persist it is very difficult for me so i request you to give me a solution as early as possible.

Have you tried clearing data for messages in settings-apps-all?Backup your messages before.

Go to settings-apps-all-messages,force stop,clear data.

s . i did both force stop and clear data . next wat to do

Now set your message notification a tone and see.

i sent one sms from my friend mobile . message received but with out tone

yes, after setting the tone i sent the sms . both tone and pluse light not working .  but the pulse light and ringtone hearing for calls.

If you go to message app,hit the third settings button,do you have a tone for the messages?I think you need to repair phone software via sony update service.

s. tones are available i cab able to play also . i selected also one tone foe message but it is not ringing while receiving the message .
