Message app showing Twice in the menu

Hi 

I am having a little problem with the message notification on my Z1.  There seems to be 2 message apps in my app menu and when i recieve a text they both show the little circle with a 1 in it etc.  When i have read the message the little circle doesnt go away on both of the apps..

how do i remove 1 of these as im sure im not meant to have 2 message apps..

That sounds quite strange! 

Have you downloaded a messaging app from Google Play or do you have two identical messaging apps? 

Could you perhaps provide us with a screenshot?
