Memory in Xperia SP

I've just brought Xperia SP a week ago. I've read the specs that the phone has a 8GB Internal storage and a 5.8GB user-available. But I just want a confirmation wheather I can put my media files on the internal storage? Will it be deleted when I factory reset the phone?

By default camera pictures are stored in internal memory. You can change it from camera settings.

1. Launch Camera

2. Click Settings button.

3. Scroll down to see Data and click on that

4. Select the location that you want (Internal Storage or SD Card)

There is no issue if you move media files from internal storage to SD Card.
