i have a xperia T, with a 32gb card it was fine for ages but now keeps unmounting for no reason? ive formatted the memory card a put it back in and started transfering everything back on and it unmounted whist connected to my pc?
well with the phone unmounting so much it corrupted the card, so i updated the phone, put a 4gb card and all seems fine so far, ive ordered a new 32gb sandisk class 4 card and see what happens with that
you should get Class 6 and above
I also had this happen with two different Sandisk 32GB SDHC micro cards (class 10).
I am now trying a 16GB Kingston SDHC micro card (class 10) and so far so good.
So not sure if it's the brand (Sandisk) or the capacity (32GB) that are the problem (and if it's the capacity, then the problem is the phone since it should work), but it's definitely not about being class 10.
Mines worked ok since i put a class10 sandisk ultra in.
If your card was a 32GB, then I wonder what the issue is.
Sandisks seem to be a common element, but not universally a problem. It also doesn't seem related to class of card, or capacity.
Still, it seems random that just some cards won't work in some phones, but not all of a specific card, or not all cards on a specific phone.
i had this problem with google play installed but once it was uninstalled it worked fine
I've been having this issue lately as well. I have a class 10 SanDisk 32thcard. It would just randomly disconnect I'd reseat it reboot and it would be fine for half hour or so then I'd get a warning about it having been ejected. Googled around a bit to see loads of solutions but none really worked until I stumbled upon a sone one saying you needed to get your phone repaired! His was fixed by a shop but I fixed mine myself.
Get yourself a small watchmakers Philips head (cross) screwdriver.
Turn off your phone.
Lift the flap where the memory card goes. Take out the memory card. You'll see a single screw. Tighten the screw carefully. Re-insert the card reboot phone.
This worked for me so far. It's been several days now without a problem.
Let me know if it works for you guys.
S.c.r.e.w is not a word I can use apparently
I don't have any visible screws, with card removed or not.
Do you have any pictures you could link to? Maybe that screw is not accessible on all versions of the phone? (I have an LT30a.)
Unfortunately I can't paste the url using chrome for Android. I found a good picture of the screw by doing a Google image search for Xperia T card slot. You can see the screw in some of the first images that come up.
Worked in the end
