i have got New Xperia U which is just 15 days old and from the day i have purchased it my MAPS app doesnt locate my current position...Whenever i request for the location it shows ""Waiting for the location"" and then later after some time it shows ""Your current location is temporarily unavailable""....Firstly i thought that there mst be some temporary problem and thus it is not finding my location but even after updating to 184 the app remains to be the same....please help guys because i dint find any other posting the similar discussion...Am i the only one who is facing this problem? please HELP...i am expecting replies from Xperia Tea as well....dont disappointment me.
it may be a problem with your GPS or your internet connection.
if your internet connection is working fine, try some gps applications such as GPS STATUS, GPS TESTetc. to see whether your gps is able to connect to satellites or not.
Make sure your internet connection is working fine. Keep data ON. Then start google maps. It will locate you even if GPS is off.
In fact location should work even if GPS and DATA is OFF. It used to work in my sony ericsson phone. Now you need to keep DATA ON when you start up GMaps.
