Magnetic charging not working.

I have bought the Taiwan version of the Xperia and it arrived today. However, I put the phone on the charging dock(DK36) for over 30 minutes and its not charging, not even one percent. anyone have the same problem? I'm really frustrated right now.

Does the notification LED turn on when you place your phone on the Dock?

Yes the notification light is on(Orange light). On the screen it shows that its charging too except its not. It charges perfectly with micro usb. Its just the magnectic charging thats not working...

Is it possible that you can stop by a store where they have that Dock and test your unit, you have to narrow down if the issue is the phone or the Dock

In case you haven't tried this..

It's surprisingly difficult to get it settled into the dock correctly even if you aim for the center. If it's not charging try carefully sliding the phone left and right, until it clicks for a second time.

I thought mine wasn't charging either at first but turned out that I just didn't get it seated properly.

If it is not seated properly the orange light wont glow as said by the OP. It appears to be dock which is the culprit

Hello all,

I have a magnetic charge station problem as well, I've tried fiddling with it in the cradle, nothing, it doesn't even show the charge symbol, let alone charge. I've used only my Sony provided wall charger and cable at first, but then I tried other USB chargers I have lying about, nada. I even replaced the dock at store and still nothing! I think my magnetic connector in my phone is faulty, what are your thoughts?

IF you charge with the original Sony usb charger there's no issue right? I think what you assumed is most probably correct. Bring your phone to any Sony support and the should be able to test the magnetic charger on the spot for u.
