Magnetic charging lead.

Hi

I've been struggling with a couple of magnetic charging leads my 💊 takes ageS to charge I'm pretty ppositive the magnetic leads on the market are aimed at the phone z3 which require less current, so if you use them on the tablet charging takes ages which mine do, I've got 3 and they are all crop.

Does anybody know if Sony sell one or does anybody know where to find one that's aimed at the tablet.

Sony doesn't sell them, you will have to buy a Dock and take it apart to get the cable.

Wondering if the Sony dk48 dock will be OK to use with the tablet? Not sure if it aimed at justnthe z3 phone

You can use the z1 z2 Z3 dock with all those phones or tablets. The only difference it's how tight or loose the phone/tablet will be held

Hi,

I just want to point out that if you are going to use DK48, charging will probably be alright but your Z3 Tablet Compact will tip over. If you want to use a charging dock for your Tablet, I suggest that you use DK39:

So can you confirm the following please?

1) How long will the DK39 take to charge a Z3 Tablet from below 10% charge? i.e. will it speed up the charging time compared to using a magnetic lead?

2) Would I be able to charge my Z3 Compact phone too using a DK39 - I have both Z3C Phone and Tablet.

you will have to be more specific on your question, how many apps are you using, running in the background, are youplaying games or using the tablet, is wifi on, bluetooth on, gps? how is the network coverage, etc etc.

I am looking for a like for like comparison - between magnetic lead and dock. So what does it matter what I am runnig etc. I just want to know if under the same operating environment is the dock faster than using a magnetic lead? I am not looking for absolute times.

For what its worth I normally only charge in Aeroplane mode and as I only use my tablet mostly watching videos on my daily commute, there is very little in the way of background apps and auto-sync etc is mostly switched off.
