Remove the SIM and SD cards > press power & volume up for 10 seconds > report back if it works
Hi Shabah,
Welcome to the community,
If the suggestions above do not work, then I suggest using PC Companion to perform a software repair on the device. This can be done with the device powered down so you should not have an issue with performing the task.
Here's how to run the repair on PC Companion:
1. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
2. Phone Software Update.
3. Start.
4. Repair Phone
5. Continue
6. Accept data removal
7. Next
8. Wait for prepare
9. Select Phone
10. Follow the connection steps
And Bridge for Mac:
1. Launch Bridge for MAC without the handset connected.
2. On the Main Window select "Xperia > Repair Xperia Device".
3. Ensure the phone is charged and select "Ok" in the following window.
4. Select Continue on the following page.
5. Wait until the initialising step is finished the continue as below.
6 . Select your model of phone from the list that appears
7. Follow the connection steps that appear, ensuring that you are holding the relevant button down before during and after the connection phase until the update/repair begins.
Sorry for the hijack but this is the closest i've found to what's happened to my gf's phone.
She allowed the latest Android update to her M3 (D2303) & following this it was stuck in a boot loop.
Sony logo>android logo>purple waves>reboot and repeat.
I've eventually managed to perform a software update through PC companion (repair my phone/tablet) through to sw version 18.6.A.0.175.
Now it's booting a little further, through to the point of starting android & optimising to 60/70 applications of 200 & then reboots.
again this is a constant cycle, gets no further than optimising 83 applications tops.
Safe mode boot doesn't work, no difference with removal of SD & SIM card.
Looks like this is a feature of the latest android version offered over the air.
BTW what version is the latest offered to this device?
Worth floshing a stock Firmware??
Cheers, Rick
I am also getting this, any response yet from Sony?
I have tried all of that and done the system repair twice, none of it made a difference. My phone is just saying Android optimising all the time.I have now sent it to Sony.
Ive this same issue, but mine is M2. i dont know how to deal.
Mine is M2 as well. You need to contact Sony, they will ask you to send it to them. After searching through these forums it has happened to a few phones during the update.
