LTE Band 12 Support for better connection

I was deeply disappointed to find the recent 5.1.1 release of Android didn't include adding Band 12 support to the Z3C! The Sony representative I spoke to in March said the phone had the radio to be able to connect via Band 12 and just needed to be enabled in the software.

Recently they enabled Band 12 for the Z3 (http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/06/03/t-mobile-updates-its-xperia-z3-to-lollipop-throws-in-band-12...) so they clearly have the software to do this already, anyone know if they're going to add it to the Z3C? For anyone on T-mobile it will equate to a substantial improvement in signal availability and strength (further reach, better building penetration), and everything else you do is much less important than that! I'd definitely have prioritized this over LinkedIn integration...

Anyone else agree? Heard if/when band 12 will be added? If you have more information or just want want to note that you want this too please respond.

@uliwooly, I have a D5803.

Actually, I'd checked the white paper when I discussed it several months ago with a Sony representative, I was aware it doesn't list it. The representative said this was a software limitation and they would be adding support for it in the future. To my knowledge the phone has the radio to be able to connect to Band 12 (based both on my previous internet research and my discussion with that representative of this white paper), it just hasn't been enabled. If that is incorrect I'd like to know it and understand why Sony has told me otherwise...

I was also aware that the link I posted was for the T-mobile Z3. My point with the link was that Sony has the software to do this already, and could reuse it with the Z3C easily. Also, to my recollection the Z3 also showed Band 12 as not in the white paper prior to that release...

I don't know why or who told you otherwise, it'll be wise to post the Sony agent's name and a copy of the Email, perhaps it was a misunderstanding, but it is a hardware restriction, perhaps @Rickard Could elaborate on this.
