low call volume when using loud speaker

Hi

I am having trouble with the call volume when using the louspeaker.

Seems to only use 1 of the 2 speakers?

I have tweaked the all the setting including the equalizer which has improved the head phone volume but had no effect on the loudspeaker.  When talking normaly the volume is ok but could also be louder

does anyone have any ideas

So I guess the result here is that we've got one guy saying to open the phone (which voids the warranty) to install new screws, another telling us to give the phone a warm water bath, and Sony not saying a single thing about why one of the speakers won't turn on during speakerphone voice calls.

This is garbage and should be an easy fix. If it's not an easy fix, I'd at least like to know why and exercise my rights under the limited warranty.

I am experiencing the same issue. Media is fine, but phone calls and whatsapp voice recordings are so quiet I can barely hear. Loudspeaker is almost the same as no loudspeaker on other phones. Had Sony got back to you yet? Or do you know how to fix?

I only got my phone 1 week ago, so I doubt its broken. Thanks

Hi. No they didnt, they never response to me, and warranty or repair they don't make it cause my z3 was bought on eBay new brand. I told them I pay for the repair to Sony repair my z3, and they say can't receive my phone on Sony facilities cause the smartphone was not bought in an official Sony store, and I asked them what can I do to repair the phone without loosing the waterproof resistance and they just said "sorry we can't do anything" So now I sold mi z3 compact and bought an iPhone 6. So I'm very happy for it. Regards

I am having the same issue... bought the phone in Russia, so can't even use the warrenty.

Any one knows at least if it's software or hardware issue?!

I am having the same issue, when i use a viber and my microphone is disapering somethimes on regular call. I can´t understand why Sony not fixing it. Someone have a solution?

It is a problem of all Z3c or just a lot or serial?

The Store offered me to change my Z3C for another. but if I'll have the same problem, then it would be useless.

I had the same issue where the speaker volume was very low during calls (loudspeaker mode) so I  sent my phone for repair.

I received my Z3 back last week and I am happy to say that my issue has been fixed.

The repair sheet says outer casing replaced. I am not sure that was the problem but I can now use the Z3 in speaker mode when making and receiving calls.

ps: Sony sent back my Z3 locked to the orginal network and I had to spend £12 again to get it unlocked (Sony did ask me to send it back to the repair center for unlocking but I had not patience)

Sony Z3 volume issues here as well.

I dont think that Soney is ignoring everyone its probably that they have been calling everyone but the volume is to low to hear it.

Cant hear ringtone loud on my z3 compact..need to keep on vibrate and in pocket wherever go not to miss any calls.. Low volume on loudspeakers doesnt give an experience to enjoy music loud.. Gotta put earphones every moment to listen songs . I can see comments past an year.. Innovations are made every second... But sony couldn't solve an volume issue for an year now... I have already recommended friends and families not to go for Sony.. Worthless paying too much when u cant get basics... Would recommend to everyone connected on social media.. Better go with other brands but not Sony.
