Loudspeaker/speakerphone will die if received a call while listening to music thru earphones :(

Hi Sony,

I have some weird problem with my Xperia U. If I receive a call while listening to music through earphone, phone will only vibrate. Nothing is heard through the earphone. After receiving the call, call timer display will come start after 4-5 seconds. Now, nothing is audible. I removed the earphone, then also loudspeaker both front and back is not working. After disconnecting the call, I played the music, but nothing is audible Slightly_frowning_Face I received a call without earphone plugged in, loudspeaker totally stopped working Slightly_frowning_Face Only way to set it right is to restart the phone!!!

Please let me know whether this is a software issue or hardware issue. If hardware issue, guide me to get a replacement. If software, fix it ASAP.

This should be fixed soon.

Please help!!!! Slightly_frowning_Face

Thanks,

Adi

After getting serviced at the sony service centre this was gone. Now there is a new problem for me that has come up. My Wifi is not working properly. This problem started when i was listening to music and browsing through internet through wifi, I got a message (SMS) notification and then Wifi went out.

Suprisingly headphone / speaker is working fine and there is no issue in answering call. BUT this new issue is now annoying it. Do I have to visit the service centre again ???

Have we made a mistake buying this handset????

try to add the wifi network manually or change the password and try again.

Do you think I would have put this message blindly without trying all options suggested here. I've already raised this issue in different thread.

All I am asking is this problem something to do with getting interrupted during listening to song with headphones

Do u think it is a good idea to show attitude to people trying to help you out?

Sorry.

I am sorry Arnab if you think that way... I only meant to say there are forums and discussion already available suggesting such options and I am done with that. My problem is not solved yet. Everybody is complaining here but not getting any solution.

When I got my problem solved I suggested that as well here.

I was just sharing my experience and did not mean to hurt any one Slightly_frowning_Face
