Lollipop device lock issues

Hi,

I've just received the Lollipop update for my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact (D5803) and have encountered some problems with the the security settings. First of all, Bluetooth unlock is completely gone (face unlock as well, but that's not that much of a bother), so my device doesn't unlock when connected to my SmartBand Talk via Bluetooth anymore. Farther, I cannot deactivate my lock screen at all or set it to swipe to unlock (these options are greyed out), but have to use either a pattern or a password, which is really annoying.

If anybody had a solution to this problem, that'd be really great!

P.S.

I included a screenshot of my lockscreen settings.

Hi,

thank you for your quick reply! I've found those smart lock settings and I can even add my SmartBand Talk as a trusted Bluetooth device, other than this poor guy with his SWR10. However, smart lock seems to malfunction, because my lock screen is completely gone now, whether my Xperia Z3 Compact is connected to my SmartBand or not, so I guess, I'll keep this options deactivated for the moment. Furthermore, there's still no solution for the other problems I have with the security setting.

Anyways, thanks a lot for your answer again!

Do you have a network branded device or encrypted device as some of those options are removed either as a result of encryption or direct from the networks branded firmware

Hi,

I have an unlocked device and device encryption is not activated right now and has never been before. As you can see in my screenshot, it says below 'no screenlock' and 'slide to unlock': 'Disabled by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage', but I have never messed with any of this settings and never had any problems with the security before Lollipop, either.

It does look like Encryption has been activated - My apologies but as the image isn't in English I don't understand it so I can only assume the Encryption part is activated

It appears the phone isn't encrypted so I can only assume that this is a country specific reason or an app is removing these features

Well, that's unfortunate. Thanks for your help. I hope there'll be a fix soon.

If it's a country thing then Sony can't fix it
