A new Lifelog update has now been released. (2.0.A.0.12).
Major changes:
i love smartband but lifelog app has huge battery drain
xperia z .230
When will the new features be available for ALL the users??
Don't you think that making a distinction between sony users and non-sony users is harmful for you???
I find it stupid.
I have bought a sony device, a smartband. and my phone has been a Moto G for months...
Are you seriously telling me that you pretend me to buy a new phone if I want to have all the functionalities available?
Who's told you that's a good marketing practice????
It's incredible.
Personally, I won't recommend this device to ANYONE, and of course, will avoid buying any Sony equipment in the future if this keeps going on this way.
I don't expect any answer, I have read all the topic, and have noticed that sony people only reply to good comments... Another genius marketing practice, I have to say....
Wow.. I actually find it really great that Sony would release such a good free application for use with any android 4.4 phone. if they were more like samsung they would release watches and smart bands that only work with their phones.
Thank you Sony for trying to accomodate people that for whatever reason haven't bought a Sony phone and also thankyou for giving loyal Sony users the few extra features you havn't been able to get working on non sony phones "yet", I'm sure its not just to make us feel special and if it was easy to make it work on other devices you would have done it already but thank you anyway.
AFAIK some of the features only work with Sony phones because they have a kernal customised by Sony (obviously) the Devs at Sony are pretty good but they can't modify a motorolla phone's kernal to make their software/hardware work on it perfectly. nice that they give the stuff that does work away for free tho and allow other phones to talk to their smartband (despite the current limited functionality)
(Happy to be corrected by a Sony Dev on that.. perhaps they are just being mean to non sony users.. but I doubt it
Thank you Sony and I look forward to the next big update to LIfelog, it will be cool to see what you come up with.
