Dear all @ SONY...
Please let us know finally...whether new firmware upgrade (75/89) for Xperia Sola is coming or not?
Is it worth for waiting for new firmware upgrade? or we have to loose hopes from Sony!
It would be greatful if a Sony staff can confirm whether there will be any further ICS update for Sola or if the support is discontinued!
Unfortunately we don't have any information regarding upcoming software updates. All information is published on our blog.
Finally a REAL answer from Sony!
Before this, you guys just keep quiet and ignore us about the updates info...
You guys have changed a lot I must admit since my last return to the forum...
Anyway, I won't blame the Support team since they really "did" done their support work...
...just blame all on the Software Development team :smileyangry:...
Regards,
Trubo
Forget about any updates for SOLA... Got the tweet !
I realised that while ago, i'm looking for a new phone though I haven't found the one.
A real shame sony won't even fix the bugs. What a poor customer support.
I definitivly feel ripped off on that one.
But I will not forget, and will vote wilth my wallet when buying my next phone.
so maybe its the right time to get your phone rooted and let all sola potention out
Already done that (rooted) - it was the only way to fix the wi-fi bug, given that sony is unable or unwilling to fix a bug reported 6 months ago.
When I bought my sola, I was not expecting a galaxy s3 performance ou features, but I was expecting that the damn phone worked properly, which was not the case: wi-fi bug, random restarts, frezzings and slowdowns...
With "quality" products like this (pretty much all the 2012 phones), when I see news like these: http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/28/us-sony-property-sale-idUSBRE91R09L20130228, I'm not suprised.
In the end, this phone is the most badly wasted 200€ that I've spend in my life.
There was a time, when buying any consumer electronics, sony used to be on the top of the list, now my criteria is: any brand except sony.
Been there, done that.
I gotta try CM9, but the experience rom being based on the code from sony, have the same bug.
CM9.1 fxp is stable as f*ck, compared to sony's own miserable attempt at ICS. it has it's weirdness, but it's WAY better than the sony sh1t.
btw : don't install any sony software on CM9.1 (like walkman, launcher or movie). it will seriously hurt your battery life. sony's software is so shitty it prevents the phone from entering deep sleep, hence the worse than lousy battery life.
