Learining client 2.1 wastes battery

Now I am satisfied with how my battery lasts (around 36 hours with the help of Juice Defender and Power Saver turned on)

however in power managment when I check what wastes the battery

something called Learning Client 2.1 wastes 25% of the battery, Waht is this and can I turne it off?

This workaround helps when it comes to Learning Client, but it causes other side effects, i.e. it is not a good workaround.

U can either go to settings -> apps -> all -> learning client 2.1 -> force stop

Or

U can root ur phone & then delete learningclient.apk from /system/apps

I dont know what everything should Lerning Client do, but for sure it does not learn new words. After I have tryed to freeze it (need rooted phone) only what happen is that has disappeared the prompt which pop up always when I switched GPS module on. (The one that can be charged money because mobile data will be used).

So if there is no other function of the Learning Client it is much more than useless.

The Learning client 2.1 has started again on my Xperia Go and is eating approx 55% of my battery. Sony support, please give us a solution for this ASAP. My phone battery is lasting only for leass than 20 hours !!

why not just kill this process, rename using your root explorer tools in order not to allow running in the process ---- then check again if it will extend your battery life --- and make sure everything still works normal for your phone

After killing this process phone started to work really slow and badly 

So i reinstall ICS. For 2 days, everything was ok, but then learning client 2.1. started again.

SONY -  we demand some explanation and reasonable solution for this problem !

I have had this same issue with learning client wasting my battery (using more than 25%). Yesterday I decided to use PC Companion to solve this with reapplying ICS update once again (even with deleting data which are in the phone), so I made backup with this SW and then it was too late so I left it like this. But then I had idea about uninstalling SW which I am suspecting to doing this.fe

After uninstalling Llama software and some others, but I think that is not important because it was some games, rebooting phone (turning it off and on because previously Turn off button + volume down button rebooted phone but since ICS it is for screenshot)... today I have battery which is showing me like 2 days. And after occasional using (sync is on, I have used 4sq, maps, wrote some e-mails and one short 5 minute call) it is telling me that it has 85%, till complete discharge there are 2 days 3 hours... and charger was disconnected 9 hours and 30 minutes ago. So I am blaming Llama which maybe launched Learning client 2.1 which stayed on and Llama doesn't turn this part off.

So try it guys, maybe we have some solution.

i have the same problem with the Learning Client 2.1 - but in my opinion it is related with the message popup you get, when turning on the GPS-Signal (where it warns you, that for GPS anonymous data are collected and you might have costs for the data-transfer). --> using Watchdog Lit one can "kill" the Learning Client 2.1" and immediately after turning on the gps with the question it is back on.

I sure hope someone can come up with a solution without rooting ... before the update to ICS (bringing the  problem above)  the battery of my Go lasted for 3-5days without charging. (Lots of short calls, low gaming, low other usage). Now its about 20hours... which is really annoying.

PS: right now i have also LLama installed, but since it could not have done anything while the phone was on and i only turned gps on and off...  i do not think LLama is the problem ...
