Landscape doesn't display correctly

Hi, when in portrait, all my icons display correctly but if I switch to landscape the icons stay in portrait mode. ie they don't populate the screen correctly. The phone is 5 days old. I've rebooted twice. Any ideas anyone? Ta. Al.

It's not a simple procedure.
It may seem like it but it's not part of the Sony design, nor Samsung, nor LG........
And please, bloatware... Name one manufacturer with less.

TBH, it may not be simple but quite honestly, if a third party app developer can do it, so can the manufacturers. Re the bloatware, you're quite right.

I think I'm missing something here, after nexus devices Sony is the best OEM with less bloatware.

If it's a third party app, it's not up to Sony to guarantee compatibility, that's up to the developers, I understand that you want your phone to work certain way, which you have the option, download other home launchers or apps that are compatible and if you really like certain third party app, make sure to contact the developer to address the compatibility issue.

Third party developers are in charge of their apps not adapting android source code to work on the devices

@uliwooly, I am not saying that Sony has to comply with the app developers. I'm suggesting that as the consumers now are expecting home screens to rotate it is in their best interest to develop their own OS so that it does just that, rather than have to look around to install a third party app to make it do so.

As for the bloatware comment, I am agreeing that maybe Sony is not so bad.

I don't know why the Z5 launcher doesn't rotate, this was incorporated on the last home launcher but not on the Z5 series, perhaps it will be added, I totally agree that make things a lot easier. But since this is a user based forum, don't forget to contact Sony directly with your request(s) and/or suggestions >>> Local support
