lag while opening dialer

do you have 4.0.3 or 4.0.4?

if you use another dialer it'll be a lot smother and faster also try this

open the dialer -> menu -> clear call logs.

i have 4.0.4..i have tried it many times and it is not helpful but a simple point is a phone's basic purpose is to call..if there is lags here..then it is not justified.this is a very huge bug by Sony and it should be fixed.

I agree but Sony's dialer it's too heavy, it tries to do so many things at once, that's why it lags

How much does it lag? Only when you open the dialer or always (e.g. when entering phone numbers too)?

Did this happen on the SW version you had prior to 4.0.4?

It happens to everyone and very very often (the only case when it doesn't happen is when you open the dialer, wait for its opening, close it and open again so it stays on memory, but when it's closed it takes a lot for opening...), it take about 3-4 seconds to open and its quite bad!

Start dialer from menu ICS 4.1.B.0.431:

Now it takes sometimes immediately and sometimes 1-2 seconds.

Previous ICS 3-4-5 seconds to start up.

Same problem here, exactly the same as everyone.

Solution: Download "Dialer one" from the market and change the theme to black and you'll barely notice any difference + some nice features.

Same problem... Now up to 5 seconds to open the dialer, before ICS it was almost instantaneous !
