Email problem after ICS update....

Hiiii sony

I have noticed that my email inbox not refreshing at all after i upgrade it to ICS 4.0.4....

i done by manually also but no update in inbox....

please help me to solve this...

I have same problem. Automatic update does not work in 4.0.4. I have to do "Option->Refresh" to update inbox.

I suggest removing the e-mail account from the device and then re establish the account on the device.

Menu > E-mail > Menu button > Settings > tap on e-mail account > Select Delete.

Once it has been removed simply follow the prompts to create the e-mail account again.

Let me know how you get on.

Hi Tharik try this one this coud help..

Settings>Accounts & Sync>Add Account>Email

and turn "ON" the Auto Sync by Sliding the blue circular bar on the Upper Right.

Hiiii jake

I tried as you said now its working...but some what laggy..for example it shows new emails(4),but when i open nothing there...even after refresh nothing there.....

Also in album when i open online picture its going very small and i am unable to zoom it clearly,,,

please solutions?????

Guys any chance to have the widget for this native mail app. I can see only gmail app widget and calender from Native os

Me too friend..i didnt find any widget for the default email app....

Incase the default email app is also somewhat laggy during the refresh process....

ICS performance so far is not so nice...laggy in many places even in zooming and viewing online images too....

After ICS update Gmail respond very late, Sony please fix this bug, I am from india

This didn't do the trick for me. My native email app is practically useless. I don't get any automatic updates and sound/notification light for incoming mail. I have to refresh the inbox manually to get my emails. Gmail is not much better because there is no sound/notification light either, although in gmail I don't have to refresh the inbox manually to get the latest mails.

Unless there is a quick solution for this, I'll have to revert back to GB because I'm missing out on my emails constantly.
