keyboard on 4.3

One week ago I've upgraded my Xperia Z, and I advert that it was a new keyboard.

With the 4.2.2 keyboard I was able to use 5 different languages at the same time. But with the new 4.3 keyboard we can use only a maximum of 3!!!

If I want to use this kind of keyboard, I can download it from play store, but if I want an hight quality keyboard I buy a Sony, not only for the quality of the hardware, also for the quality of the software.

And also, when I'm on the language & imput menu, and tap on the spell checker tools, appears a blank menu, with no text!! And when I tap forward, it goes to the main settings menu, not to the language menu.

This is a bug or something else.

I too am really disappointed with the new keyboard. It's confusing, settings doesn't seem to do much, and the suggestions /language system is messed up. All in all, it's flat out counterproductive. The previous version was way better.

Same problem here. I loved the tiny key at the keyboard to switch languages. Used it all the time as I am learning languages.  By a press of the language switch key I instantly had the right keyboard for the right language.

Also it limited the spell suggestions to just that language. I would kill for this functionality to come back to 4.3.

Furthermore, the deleting of an entire misspelled word has become quite cumbersome, and as I am learning, I have to delete a lot...especially now I get a mix of three different languages in my output.

At 4.2 I was able to press and hold the delete key a fraction of a second to delete an entire word at once, now it deletes character for character...

I would like to revert to 4.2, but dunno how.

I am plain ANGRY about this keyboard issue. I used 5 languages daily, and sometimes in the same text message, now I simply can't. I wished I had NEVER DOWNLOADED this 4.3 upgrade, and unless Sony fixes it quickly, I simply will quit this Xperia z altogether. I hate the white new layout in the sms section that cannot be changed, I hate that the notes attachements in no longer available. Removing the multi language button is just insulting, because even with this new limit of 3 languages, for some unknown reason the **bleep** software doesn't figure quickly enough that you have changed language.

I'll give you an exemple: I wrote : thank you, cuidate carino, as you can see, that's english and spanish, well, before getting the spanish right, the options on the words offered were all englsh until I wrote the carino, then the phone seemed to pick up, I intented to continue my message in spanish, whereas before, a simple click, and you could change the language automatically!

I'm a writer and I use my phone to do a lot of writting, and used the notes and sms extensively, and now it's limiting my ability to actually use the device as I want, so it's becoming a no go phone for me, and considering the amount of money spent on it, I'll never make that mistake again. I'll return to blackberry for my next phone.

I don't know what these people were thinking but new firmware means improvement, not regression!

When I studied human-computer interfaces at the university, one of the basic principles was to offer interfaces for both novice and advanced users. Since the iPhone came out, looks like everybody is trying to make things simpler or more intuitive. That is understandable. I just can't understand why people are transforming smartphones into dumbphones. I've got upset with my old iPhone 3G because its hardware got old too quickly. But no other phone was quite satisfying. Tried Xperia Play, Nokia 800, and Moto X. And now my Xperia ZQ comes with this horrible update. Advanced users have no more place in this world.

I can't even slide type the word tattoo. Another suggestion is to give an option to capitalize or make the whole word capitalized or vice versa. Also, instead of just 3 options to choose from when slide typing, why not put an arrow so we can choose more suggestions?

I also use more than 3 languages. I know people that used 6. I stayed with 5. But now I am limited to this stupid max. of 3. Just let anyone select the ones that you need.

@Jbalaguer: Did you get any news from Sony on how to remove the limit?
