Hi everyone . My 1st time on any forum . Am interested in dual sim phones . Was excited to know about xperia z3 dual, but I couldn't get in Australia . Now, z5 came out, same result . So I asked a friend to get the z5 dual( 6683 ) from Viet Nam . I was like a kid with a new toy . Fully charged then the phone turned on, after 5 minutes my excitement turned to disappointment . The phone keeps self-restarting . Got in touch with Xperia Care . Quite helpful in showing how to use the pc-companion software . I run the software so many times that I can do phone repair section with my eyes closed . Still not working .
Rang the hotline number to be told that can't be repaired in Australia . "No parts" . It was suggested to me that I'd bring it back to Viet Nam to get it repaired .
It's better for me to buy 2 single-sim phones then
I don't know what the problem might be with your phone but if its a hardware issue, you have to take it to your Local support, with that said, if the phone was bought at a different country, the warranty its only valid at that particular country.
Hi,
I know the warranty is voided in this case . I even offer to pay to get it fixed . But the answer's still no because "no parts" .
I'd think that the company can charge, at a reasonable fee, to fix the phone with the imported parts . If the problem comes from the hardware side .
My brother has a z3, which he got through a telco mobile plan . And he also has some issues with apps freezing up .
I know all products from all companies will have a failure rate . But to refuse fixing a failed device, due to being bought from overseas, is not very customer oriented at all .
