Java ME ... ?

Hello, I developped a Java ME app, and - if I'm not wrong - Sony still sells pre-Android phones. So the question is, how can I distribute my app? It's free of charge and doesn't include any ads or stuff, i.e. I don't require anything from the distributor.

I have PlayNow on my Xperia S and that's the only way those 3 phones can get apps and themes

http://developer.sonymobile.com/wportal/devworld/promotion/overview See here for information, from Sony's developer world, on promoting apps.

http://developer.getjar.com/ See also Getjar's developer's site for distributing your apps.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. It seems that GetJar is one of the "last resorts" for these kind of apps.

No problem. It's a pity that Java is being neglected, as there is scope for furher development to higher platform levels.I still use a W995 which uses JP 8.4.5 , but unfortunately Sony's latest non-android phones run on a proprietary operating system vastly inferior to some of its older Java phones.

Sorry for the off-topic, but you have a certain point with the Big Brother OS, the fact that you cannot use the calendar on your phone unless you connect it with your Google account, or the likes, were a bit shocking for me. I use Android and develop for it, but I'm likely to switch to a different OS. Even switching to a feature phone is a nice option, since I have a (non Android) tablet for all the "smart" things.
