Hi @Z170 @Shruthan
You can also try boot your device on safe mode and check if everything works on this mode:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008
I'm at disposal for any question.
Best Regards,
Well, Sony FIX THIS.
Camera starts after a reboot, takes two pictures with the obturator sound, third picture makes no sound, it will continue to take pictures while the app is open, closing or going to another app and the camera does not work again until a reboot.
Any other camera app no longer works, only after a reboot.
Only the first two calls ring after a reboot, after that, it works but only vibrates.
Went into the applications management and cleared ALL cache and app settings, no go, same problems.
wake up timer also does not produce any sound...
On the other hand, phone is a lot more fluid, curious is that advanced task killer no longer sees processes, but ps on the console does.
Also, I have another Z1 and the update produced no issues... but the phone never been used, so looks like there are some incompatibilities around.
About camera issue, found a solution, disable sounds.
Well, most people are complaining about sounds, call sounds, now the camera sounds.
One of the things that was changed with the update, is a somewhat better sound control, so looks like lots has changed there, now devs, fetch.
Other thing, I was in the hopes, the camera button would allow to change default res, still at 8mp, it would be nice to see that setting for the the button (when we press at the lock screen, not the regular camera app), in fact, would be just nice, the fast photo button, calls the app as I want and I have it in it's normal mode, not what the software wants, it's kinda crappy.
Calls and alarm clock still has problems though... sometimes it only vibrates. Even on that partilcular brand new unused Z1 I have as spare.
Well, ringtone problem maintains and also on my other unused Z1.
So, maybe another thirdparty app, which I don't have, I use mostyl google stuff, and some welknown games, very few apps and they all life utilities
I described both the camera issues and various sound issues on another thread in this forum and believe I have the solution
In developer options there is an option to "use awsumeplayer" or "Nuplayer" - deselect "off" this option - this fixes all my issues
