Incoming call unknown

HI,

i bought my phone about 6 months ago, and suddenly when getting a call from any number, it shows "unknown". Dont know what happened or where i should start looking for the solution. Please help?

Settings-apps-all-contacts,force stop and clear data.Restart.

Will this wipe my phone? just dont want to loose all my apps and stuff?
