[IMPORTANT] LED BUG & LOCKSCREEN BUG -> Update is coming!

Hello Community!

I have some great news for you!

I recently spoke with a customer service representative from Sony and he has assured me that Sony is aware of the problems.

There will be both fixed, the lockscreen notifications AND the notification LED (for SMS and WhatsApp, etc.)!

The update will be rolled out within the next 2 to 3 weeks.

This is valid at least for Germany;) But I think that everyone else will get the update to a similar time!

Sehr geehrter Kundensupport,

Seit dem Upgrade auf Android 4.0.4 ICS funktioniert die LED Benachrichtigung bei eingehenden SMS oder anderen Apps (wie Whatsapp etc.) bei niemandem mehr!

Des Weiteren wird keine Lockscreen Benachrichtigung angezeit, wenn eine SMS eingegangen ist oder man einen Anruf verpasst hat.

Im Namen von vielen unzufriedenen Kunden würde ich gerne wissen, ob und vor allem wann ein Update kommt, dass diese Probleme wieder behebt!

S***:  Herzlich willkommen im Sony Xperia Support, mein Name ist S***. Einen Moment bitte ich lese eben Ihre Frage durch.

S***:  Hallo M***, dabei handelt es sich um ein bekanntes Problem. Wir arbeiten derzeit an einem Update um selbiges zu beheben.

Me:  Das hört sich gut an! Werden damit beide genannte Probleme behoben?

S***:  Ja, beide Probleme werden mit dem kommenden Update behoben werden.

Me:  Klasse, das freut mich. Können Sie mir / uns einen ungefähren Zeitraum nenne, wann das Update ausgerollt wird?

S***:  Ich gee davon aus, dass das Update in den nächsten 2 Wochen ausgeliefert werden sollte.

i hope so...but apparently they have removed the led function to reduce battery consumption..! i got a mail from them stating the same..!

but i really really hope thers an update..!

I am sure that the statement I have just received is valid.

Sony gets massive criticism every day because of these beetles from thousands of customers.

So for me it makes absolute sense that they release this update soon

The fact that Android is not supporting the LED notification is definitely not true.

There are many other smartphones from other manufacturers that can support that too :smileywink:.
