It seems like transferring my images, videos and music to my new micro SDHC card, has damaged them.
Yesterday, I installed my new Sony micro 32 GB SDHC card into my Sony Xperia L. After installing, I used the function "Transfer data to SD card" from the configuration menu. I first choose to transfer images + videos + songs. The transfer was stuck on 73% for a while, but when I checked again, it was done.
Several hours later, when I wanted to view an image, I found it to be broken. In fact, ALL my 470+ images are damaged! They consist of some coloured blocks, but it's no longer distinguishable what was on the image. So I went back to the data transfer menu and saw that I still had the option to transfer data to the SD card: images (only 128 MB left), videos (1 GB+) and music (only the demo music which was on my phone). I choose to transfer only the images, hoping that completing the transfer would fix the problem. Didn't work. I then checked my videos, which were still OK so it seems they hadn't been transferred yet. I then transferred them to the SD card. This transfer was uninterrupted, but still my videos were also damaged once they were tansferred and can no longer be played. Same thing happened to the several songs after transfer. When I play them, they keep skipping to different parts of the song.
Has anyone had the same problem? I'd like to know if the cause is a faulty transfer (although the 2 last transfers were uninterrupted and no error there), a Sony Xperia L bug, a compatibility bug (even though they're two recent Sony products) or a bug in my SD HC problem. If my memory card is faulty, I don't want to risk any more data loss.
