Images have dissapeared??

When taking photos yesterday, I didnt notice at the time but later when looking back I cant see some of the pictures from a certain time onwards all that shows is a black photo with a square box with a zig zag through it?? is there any way of getting these pictures back?

Have you set the camera to save on an external SD card?

yes i have, i've now repaired the phone using the Xperia Companion and lost all my apps etc but photos are still the same as on the SD

The repair was not needed, the problem might be from the SD card itself. It could be corrupted and formatting the SD card again might have helped.

If the card is seen normally, you can format it from your settings - storage. There should be an SD card option, tap on it. Then tap on 3 dots, settings, format.
