Idea - dt2w when charging (dock / usb)

I had an idea that I wish was implemented in the smart connect app. Just want to see how many others feel the same way.

When connected to a charging dock ( or any charging method) there should be an option in smart connect events to enable/disable double tap to wake.

The feature is there for us to use in settings- > display

How many of you find it weird to turn on and off the phone when docked in the cradle or plugged in through usb?

Could you elaborate, are you saying that double tap to wake doesn't work while the phone is charging either through the regular cable and/or Dock? because it should work.

I use the double tap wake option all the time. It really takes me much more effort to push the (solid) power button. Every since I discovered that function, I haven't turned it off.

If it's docked I see no issue with it and just use the power button

All I'm saying is that double tap to wake should be an action item that turns on double tap to wake while the phone is on dock.

The feature does work if activated manually but i see it as a benefit only when the phone is docked and stable rather than when the phone is actively in use
