ICS update problem

Hi!

I just bought a Sony Xperia U and I want to update it to ICS but pc companion tells me that my smartphone is up to date but i have android 2.3.7 build number 6.0.B.3.188.

I thought that ICS is not available in my country but i checked some forums and everybody is getting ICS updates (i'm from Romania).

What should i do?

You should wait. The ICS update is not yet available for the phones in that region. There are still many others in this situation. And eventually i don't really think that an update to ICS would be such a good idea seeing all the complains on this forum. Even SONY said something along the lines :

"However, although ICS is new and compelling in many ways, we would like all of our users to make an informed decision when selecting what Android™ software to use."

Indeed you have to wait for it to be approved in your country and/or by  your carrier
